
Donal Healion
Donal graduated from NCAD with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design in 1998.
Since then he has held senior design roles in the areas of lighting, commercial interiors and luxury domestic interiors.
His interest in how design interacts with the human body led him to complete a Masters in Medical Device Design in NCAD in 2014.
He is currently engaged in research within the Industrial Design Department of NCAD on the PELARS project. This EU FP7 funded project seeks to develop a learning analytics system and environment for practice-based learning.
Donal also works for Perch Dynamic Solutions, a design studio focused on research led design for applied human movement and lectures part-time in the Dublin Institute of Design.
