Fiona Byrne

Fiona currently teaches Technology at Castleknock Community College. Design education and the promotion of design and technology are integral to all aspects of Fiona’s teaching.  Fiona is an associate researcher with the Education Faculty, NCAD. Researching and developing a program of study for post graduate teacher training in Design/Technology. Fiona was an Associate Trainer with the T4 Technology Support Services where she supported teachers in implementing the new leaving certificate Technology curriculum and Design Communication Graphics. In 2013, Fiona established, Design Club is a new venture which provides workshops for children aged 8-12 to learn about and experience design and technology through practical projects. Through Design Club, children experience design and realise their solutions, they see design happening and ask questions of the world around them.
