Elizabeth O'Ferrall

Elizabeth O'Ferrall works as Technical Standards Officer with NSAI for the last 12 years across a number of sectors of industry. She also has responsibility for standards and technical committees in accessibility and Universal Design at NSAI representing and participating at both European and international level in standardisation projects. Some of her projects include; SWiFT 9: Universal Design for Energy suppliers and I.S. 373: Universal Design for customer engagement in Tourism Services.

At European level, Elizabeth is responsible as Task group Coordinator for deliverables under Mandate 473: Design for All which include addressing Universal Design in developing standards across all sectors.

Prior to joining NSAI, she worked in project engineering at Bausch & Lomb, and a number of management posts in Kromberg & Schubert Automotive and Abbott Ireland . She holds a Masters in Occupational health and safety, and her primary degree is in Materials Engineering.
