Ciaran O'Leary

Ciarán O'Leary is Head of Learning Development in the College of Sciences and Health in Dublin Institute of Technology where he is responsible for the promotion and implementation of enhanced learning strategies and the quality assurance of the student learning experience. He is a member of the Universal Design Research Group and served as the lecturer for Universal Design and Accessible Web Design modules while a lecturer in the School of Computing, while also guest lecturing on Universal Design modules elsewhere. His current research focusses on the usability and appropriation of technology in academic environments. Ciarán has worked on a number of national and internationally funded projects, ìncluding the development of a Universal Design template module for design disciplines in Irish higher education funded by the National Disability Authority. Ciarán has previously worked as a software developer in industry.
